Children are important to God, and that is why we have a robust program for every child aged two through grade six every Sunday morning! After grade six, they graduate to the Teen Sunday School program.
Kid City begins at 9:40 AM in the colorful hallway across from the teen wing.
At 11:00 AM every Sunday morning, the fun continues downstairs with a time for your child to learn about the wonderful truths that God’s Word has for them. At Kid City we strive for biblically based teaching that is relevant to the age groups in which we minister. Hands on activities that will help your child understand and apply the Bible to their life is also a vital part of our time together. Kid City will help your child develop a foundation for life as we focus on becoming more like our Savior Jesus Christ! We look forward to seeing your child this Sunday at Kid City!
Kids' Corner meets during the Sunday evening service. Children ages 3-7 are escorted to Kids' Corner during the fellowship hymn. Kids' Corner features fun games, songs, and activities to engage them and encourage them in their relationship with God.
Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and is based on the principles of 2 Timothy 2:15.
Awana was founded as a youth program at the North Side Gospel Center in Chicago, Illinois, by Pastor Lance Latham and Art Rorheim. Their goal was to develop a program that would appeal to young people, reach them with the gospel and train them in the Lord’s work. Other churches heard about the success of the Awana program and asked if they could use it. By 1960, Awana had grown to 900 churches. Today, more than 12,000 U.S. churches have Awana programs and can be found in all 50 states. Outside the United States, Awana can also be found in over 5,100 churches in 109 countries and six continents.
During the summer months on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM , children are invited to The Clubhouse in the Multi-Purpose room. This exciting club is a fun-filled time of boisterous games, crazy activities, and kid-friendly songs to encourage their hearts in the Lord!
