National Back to Church Sunday

Greeter with a First Time Guest

It's time to take action on your long-standing promise to yourself to get back in church. Maybe it's been a very long time since you've set foot inside a church, or maybe you have never darkened the door. No matter what your story or your past involves, we want you to make an appointment on your calendar to visit us on September 18th for the 11:00 AM or 6:00 PM service (or both)! We are a friendly church; we want to meet you and find out how we can help you get closer to God.

Are you aprehensive about attending a church service? That's normal. Here are some common fears and what you can expect here.

  1. I don't have the right clothes to go to church. False! Although our leaders wear suits as a way to personally honor the Lord, people at our church come dressed in whatever they deem Sunday best. You will not be judged or turned away based on how nicely you are dressed.
  2. I will be singled out and embarrased during the service. False. We will give you an opportunity to raise your hand as a visitor if you wish, but that is your decision. No one will force you to be recognized as a first-time guest.
  3. Crazy things will happen during the service. False. Our services are well-planned out and organized to point people to God.
  4. It will be boring. False. We have majestic music, fun activities for children, and an inspirational message prepared for you. You will even be home in time for lunch!

So please, cross those excuses off your list, and get ready to come hear the message God has for you at Fellowship Baptist Church. If you still have concerns that haven't been addressed here, give us a call at 301-868-7265 to discuss them.
